Goggleheads Independent and Short Film Festival

Due to the Olympics the Jubilee and some other issues the 2012 festival will not take place, however watch this space for future events.

The Goggleheads festival’s primary aim is to support young and emerging film talent both with in the local community and further a field. As all great film makers and actors will tell you their first opportunity to express themselves and showcase their talent was found with in the short film arena. Short film is often neglected in the UK, and with the abolishment of the British Film Council it is hard to image who is going to support, champion and showcase the most gifted and hard working, youngsters and new comers to the film industry.

Goggleheads is putting together a program were these sometimes beautiful, often exciting, but always thought provoking short films can be screened and seen in a venue befitting the hard work, passion, and imagination that these projects so richly deserve.

For short film makers and the viewing public there is terrific opportunity to meet feature film directors, see their work and discuss what goes on behind the scenes and how best to go about following in their footsteps.

Short Films

Goggleheads with Outside Inside have secured some unique locations throughout Reading town centre, including high street shop windows, churches and trendy wine bars, to show a full and exciting range of short films throughout the weekends of July.  Goggleheads are currently looking for submissions to complement this programming.

Feature Films with Q & A’s

On the four weekends of July Goggleheads are inviting three established feature film directors to come to Reading and show their latest works. This will include full Q & A’s for the paying public.
